Organizational Health Assessment
A healthy organization enjoys continuous, industry-leading
performance and self-renewing cycles of innovation and value-creation
in service to customers, employees, stockholders, the community and
other stakeholder systems. It requires conscious human beings at every
level of an organization to achieve real health - in a fully healthy
organization virtually everyone is “awake.”
We offer a two-day Organizational Health Assessment
Workshop. Each Workshop is private and intended to help you measureyour
organizational health in the context of your organization’s strategic
direction. We’ll view health as the readiness and ability to
deliver on a strategic thrust in a way that positions your company advantageously
in its markets.
Format:
InterOctave will guide your Senior Management (and ideally other
cross-functional Leaders in your organization) who will create the
assessment. We’ll examine six indicators (paired in inextricably-linked
sets) of organizational health:
Product and Business Effectiveness: The first
two elements are related to the product offering and how the customers
and consumers of the product and services of the business perceive
it. Our assessment tends to open new ways of asking old questions
giving a more customer centered view.
Process and Functioning Effectiveness: The next two elements are
related to the processes through which the organization makes the
product, including the material flow and the application of technology
to production. Although these processes are not visible to the customer
and consumer, the products-in-use by the customer are the manifestation
of the degree to which the organization can ensure functioning effectiveness
in daily activities.
Organizing and Interactive Effectiveness: The
last set of elements is related to the degree to which the organization
has appropriate relationships among people and the appropriate
capability to think together. It includes the structures,
systems, and processes put in place to foster effectiveness.
Leadership: We’ll also examine the ableness
of the leadership of the organization to maintain the health in
each of these three sets of health indicators. Where shortfalls exist
a plan to develop capability will be created by the teams who will
participate in the development.
